Bodegas Palacio is a century-old winery located in the heart of Rioja Alavesa. Since its foundation in 1894, it has contributed significantly to the revolution in Rioja wines.
Bodegas Palacio created this wine, Glorioso. The first bottle of Glorioso was filled in 1928, just 34 years after Bodegas Palacio was founded.
The bottle of Glorioso we are selling is from 1959 and is in very good condition for its age. Apart from a small part of the label missing, the rest of the bottle appears to be in excellent condition.
The quality of this bottle is “Reserva Especial”, which means it is the result of a traditional Spanish winemaking process where the winery blended the best wines from different vintages to create a superior and highly valued wine. This practice, now largely obsolete, aimed to produce the most significant wine that embodied the best qualities available in the winery.
